The adult moths of this species are brown with a curvy dark band across each wing. The hindmargin of each forewing is concave. Each hindwing costa and margin have a projection. When resting, the moth curls parts of the forewings revealing the irregular outline of its hindwings. The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.
