The moths of this species are pale brown with pale edges near the forewing tips. The wingspan is about 2.5 cm.

The species has been found in

  • Christmas Island,

    as well as mainland Austraia in

  • Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria.

    This species name is thought by some taxonomists to be a junior synonym of Tetraschalis arachnodes Meyrick, 1887.
