The adult moths of this species have speckled grey or brown forewings, each with a number of dark spots. The hindwings are grey-brown. The wingspan of the male moth is about 2 cms.

The species has been found in

  • New Zealand,

    as well as in Australia in :

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capitol Territory,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
