The adult moth of this species has dark brown forewings each with vague darker zig-zag markings, and a dark spot near the middle. The hindwings are dark brown, and are unusually small. The moths have a wingspan of about 2 cms.

The species has been found in

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales, and
  • Victoria.
