The adult moths have black forewings, each of which has a yellow and white patch at the base, and crossed by three further vague yellow and white bands. The hindwings are pale grey. The wingspan is about 8 mms.

The species has been found in :

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
