Acontia thapsina (Turner, 1902) (formerly known as Hyela thapsina) BOLETOBIINAE,   EREBIDAE,   NOCTUOIDEA

The adult moth of this species has yellow forewings, with variable dark brown markings, which in some specimens nearly cover the wings. The hindwings are brown, fading at the base. The moth has a wing span of about 2 cms.

The species has been found in Australia in

New South Wales.
