The Mintern Brothers was a prominent firm of chromolithographers and printers based in Bloomsbury, London. They specialized in producing high-quality, hand-colored or color-printed scientific plates, particularly for 19th-century ornithological, zoological, and natural history works.

They are famous for producing the John Gould Lithographs: magnificent illustrations of birds and birds of paradise, drawn and lithographed by artists like William Matthew Hart.

They produced prints for major scientific publications and expeditions, collaborating closely with other notable natural history artists and entomologists including

  • Frederic C. Moore,
  • Rothschild,
  • Arthur Butler,
  • John Gerrard Keulemans, and
  • George Hampson,
